Licensed Medical Practitioner/ PRN Crisis Services

Position Summary:

Will provide direct professional services in the evaluation and treatment of clients. Will complete physical examinations on clients admitted to the Crisis Residential Program within twenty-four (24) hours of admission.  Function as the medical team representative on a multidisciplinary treatment team designed to offer comprehensive behavioral health services.

  • Evaluates patients for medical disorders and determines the appropriate course of treatment for the patient.
  • Prescribes medication when necessary.  
  • Whenever indicated, make referrals to an appropriate specialist(s) for further assessment or treatment. 
  • Maintain documentation and comply with county, state and federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to health care.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records according to agency standards.

Requirements: Medical degree (MD/DO); Advanced Practice Nursing degree (APN) or Physician Assistant degree from an accredited university.  DEA Certification with Colorado license to practice.

Salary Range:    Wage will vary depending on experience and position requirements.
